The World Our Children Face
There is very little about the world that I like from a mom’s view, the culture is not healthy for my children from a supportive standpoint. I don’t want them to follow the crowd where it’s headed-the high rate of depression and suicide isn’t a trend I want them following. There are many reports in the news that I find disturbing and if I wake in the night and can’t sleep the current events can sometimes look like monsters under my bed that grow in the dark and cold.
So I built a framework for storage under my bed

(My bed actually sagged so I had to add a lot more support……a lot more slats! I had to adjust) I used the space to benefit me and left no room for lurking monsters. As Moms, it’s our job to turn the world events, the culture, the political landscape to our children’s advantage. Children need stronger mothers to teach them and model for them how to lift the weight of the world out of their way so they can accomplish. The lifting will give them the strength they need for all they set out to do. Turn and face the challenge and watch your kids imitate your attitude. I’m here to remind you that you’ve got this……and provide the tools to lift with the levers available. As moms, we watch out for each other!
